The obnoxious reporter Okano believes that Daigo, by jumping to a
neighboring building, has deserted the people stranded on the top
floor of their burning building. But Daigo instead tells Okano to
extend a bench across the open space between the buildings. As the
people start crossing one by one Okano realizes that Daigo is holding
up the far end of the bench with his arms and body...

Love does horribly against Sazanami because of the presence of Asanuma
Yuuko, to whom she had unfortunately blabbed the secret of her
true gender. Meanwhile, Yuuko tells Midoriko that she may well
expose Love --- depending on her mood.

The Watarai Farm is having trouble interesting people in the twin
foals Hime and Hiko because twin horses tend to be poor race horses.
Shunpei gets yet another lecture from Satoru. Finally, Watarai learns
that Strike Eagle, a long-distance horse, is going to be run in a

Kirio, who had gone back in time to research the Hakumen, recounts how
he'd run into a strange old man who told him a cursed story. Ushio,
who had fallen into the sea after the Spear broke, seems to be
mentally in the same story, reliving the experiences of an Asian
Indian warrior name Shagaksha. Shagaksha, though steeped in hatred
and anger, discovers two people who live by love instead of hate. But
war soon threatens the land...
