This month's official EX word is "exhaustion."
It's been six weeks since our first issue, and much has transpired since then. ANIME EXPO, COMIC CON INTERNATIONAL, all the work for Issue 2, and of course, the rest of what passes for our lives. With things being so complicated and convoluted this month, it seemed appropriate that this editorial evolved into a stream of consciousness narration. Hopefully, though, this will make more sense than some of the things I've seen in the last week or, say, the last two episodes of EVANGELION.

Truth and CONsequences...

ANIME EXPO was, as always, interesting, lively, and eventful. We got to meet a lot of people who were familiar with our publication, and a lot more who weren't but hopefully soon will be. Our panel was, I thought, well-attended, and I would like to thank everyone who came to either show support or find out who the hell we were.
I won't comment on what some of the EX staff did with their free time at Expo, as I plan on reserving it as blackmail material. ("Get that article in now... or else.") Suffice it to say that a good time was had by all, but some seemed to enjoy themselves a lot more than others.
After Expo, I was fortunate enough (and most probably dumb enough) to continue on to COMIC CON INTERNATIONAL. Since many of the industry people were swamped at Expo, this proved to be a chance for me to talk with them at their leisure and hear the latest gossip; unfortunately, such discussions also came with the understanding that none of this information be revealed until the time is appropriate.

EXpanding our Readership

One thing that we would appreciate from you, our readers, is assistance in spreading the word about us. While we have registered ourselves with all of the major search engines, they do not always add things as quickly as we would like. If you have friends who would be interested, tell them about us.
And let us know what you want to see. I know that I've said this before, but your feedback is very important and does help to direct the shape of future issues. Do not think that your opinions have no weight. Let us know if you have a favorite show you want us to cover, or something you're dying to know.
See you in six.
