Me Gumi no Daigo

Overview: Asahina Daigo is a young firefighter with the "Me" Company, who has an unusual ability to find and rescue people in danger.
This issue: Daigo has run around all night, carrying a small child and a puppy while seeking to escape the capricious smoke and flames of a hillside forest fire. Now, exhausted, he faces the morning of the grueling Rescue Team test. His company encourages him to go to the test, but at the testing site Daigo looks so wretched that even his rival Amakasu feels sympathy for him.

Overview: Takagi Ai ("Love") is a girl who, in a bid to have a re-match with her old tennis rival, has entered a high school tennis club disguised as a boy.

This issue: Ai, despite her loss, is headed to the summer inter-high school competition. Meanwhile, her old rival Youhei has noted her success in the newspaper and looks forward to the match. A girl who is interested in Youhei accuses him of having an unnatural attraction to Ai. Youhei tries to explain it away. And all over Japan, other young men are preparing to meet their competition rivals....

Grooming Up!

Overview: Although originally a city boy, young Kuze Shunpei has taken to working as a farm hand at the Watarai racing horse breeding farm. He also has taken to Watarai Hibiki, one of the Watarai daughters.

This issue: Satoru's hoped-for winner, Aldebaran, takes 2nd place. Afterward, Shunpei and friends eat in town and discuss the race. But later Shunpei and Hibiki become separated from the others. They kill some time at a game center where Hibiki wins, after much effort, a small toy version of Strike-Eagle and gives it to Shunpei (who promptly returns the gift fivefold). Then they go to the hotel to meet the others, but discover their rooms are taken. Shunpei attempts to call home to see about staying there, and discovers that his parents are out of town....

Ghost Sweeper Mikami Gokuraku Daisakusen!!

Overview: Mikami Reiko is a money-hungry, gorgeous female ghost-buster. She is aided by her sex-starved and underpaid male assistant, Yokoshima Tadao, as well as kind and gentle female ex-ghost, O-kinu.

This issue: Mikami has marked the newcomer witch Megumi as a business rival. She sends Yokoshima out to discover Megumi's techniques for ghost-busting, which supposedly far outstrip Mikami's powers. Yokoshima discovers that Megumi operates by completely cleaning up sites and people -- inside and out, with broom, bucket, duster, purifying food, and magic. She offers to demonstrate for Yokoshima. Mikami is not pleased, and is now set to duel with Megumi on the battle-field of making purifying food: whoever can best purify Yokoshima's lecherous and sex-crazed soul wins.

Overview: Honda Goro, the orphaned son of a professional baseball player, has put together the Mifune Little League team. The group of friends struggle to become the best team in Japan...

This issue: Goro, near exhaustion, has begun to lose his pitching form. He receives a word of caution from Shigeno, a professional baseball player interested in marrying his foster mother. Remarkably, Goro's form recovers and he manages to strike out the opposing batter, who disobeyed his coach's orders in a bid to test his own strength against Goro. Goro is now up to bat....
