Get Into the Mixx

Mixx Publications Inc., based out of Los Angeles, California, will be publishing the detective action thriller ICE BLADE and award-winning sci-fi hit sensation PARASYTE in addition to the ever popular SAILOR MOON in its upcoming motionless picture entertainment magazine, MIXXZINE.
Originally published in Japan as JIRAISHIN, ICE BLADE is written and drawn by Takahashi Tsutomu. In the tradition of MILLENIUM, NYPD BLUE and the current popular string of street cop programs in America, ICE BLADE hits heavy with stories of Ky, the toughest detective in the Homicide Division—a regular Japanese James Bond: the coldest, toughest homicide cop on the streets of Tokyo. You'll be on the edge of your seat as you frantically flip pages to reach the end of each episode.
Originally published in Japanese as KISEIJU, PARASYTE is written and drawn by Iwaaki Hitoshi.
This horror science-fiction masterpiece is one of the most famous and successful mangas of all-time. PARASYTE's teenage hero, Shin, has to save all of mankind before the treacherous parasytes take over the human race.
One day, mysterious spores float down to Earth, their origin unknown. The worm-like creatures that slime from these spores invade animal and human host, assimilating their brains, and controlling their nervous systems. The parasyte race is smart, and it quickly becomes a secret power within the society, disguising itself as top politicians, police, and businessmen. The only visible traces are mangled corpses and bloody bodies that appear every now and then, victims to parasyte feasting. Shin, together with a mutated parasyte on his left arm are forced to cooperate in order for each other's survival in a strange symbiotic relationship. Using his newly-given strengths, Shin battles step-by-step to protect and save his fellow humans.
In Japan, PARASYTE was a runaway success, winning the island nation's 1993 award for the Best Comic.
As previously announced, MIXXZINE will be publishing the original SAILOR MOON manga in English with re-touched art by Takeuchi Naoko herself.
The fourth title of MIXXZINE will be announced in the next issue of WIZARD.

Finally for the impatient, disillusioned and continuously eager—the introduction of the "media Mixx": Mixx will have a video game label releasing the latest and best anime video games from Japan in English! Always as ever, true to the faith.

Editor's Note

At the time this announcement was submitted to EX, this fourth title was still secret. Since then, the official announcement in Wizard has occurred and the title is now "public knowledge". That fourth title will be MAGIC KNIGHT RAYEARTH by the popular four woman artist team CLAMP.
