The Fan of Destiny

Time for a confession: in a past life, the HTML Knife used to be
a die-hard Gundam otaku, with a website and
an interview to prove it. Swinging his
double-bladed Swiss Army Knife like a Sith Lord gone mad (or Char Aznable in his red
Gelgoogtake your pick), the Fan of Destiny struck
terror into the hearts of newbie fans, overwhelming them with rants about Federation
politics, Jion ideals, and Minovsky physics. Please, Knife! Don't hurt them!
Reality came crashing in like Sydney under a colony drop, when the fan
woke up one day and realized that the pursuit of obscure Gundam trivia wasn't helping
him enjoy the show any. As with many fans on the internet, the trivia mania was no
longer a means to an endit had become an end in itself. The horror!
Seeking salvation, the artist formerly known as the Fan of Destiny shed
his pin-striped mobile suit and was reincarnated as The HTML
Swiss Army Knife, now represented by a Swiss Army symbol not reproducible by
HTML code. Atoning for his past misdeeds, the
HTML-dicing utensil now slaves away day and night, hardly
watching any anime, spending most of his free time working on an anime magazine.
The Lego Menace

While successfully resisting the temptation to return to the dark side (the
double-bladed knife is sorely missed, however), The HTML Knife has
succumbed to the Lego menace. Having built the X-Wing, Y-Wing, and TIE
fighter, this HTML gadget can't wait to get his paws on the
Naboo Fighter, the Sith Infiltrator, and the complete Pod Racer set. So what if the
box says "for ages 8-12"? The HTML Knife has always been young
at heart!
Next Issue:

Summer is upon us, and so is the summer convention season. Of course, we'll be at
Anime Expo. Come and visit us at the EX panel. And if you're
lucky, you might just find the second edition of a certain shiny disc in the Exhibit
Hall. You'll be able to read about our summer adventures (part of them anyway) in
the next issue of EX.

"So if Anime is like Star Wars, does that make Mike Tatsugawa... Senator Palpatine?"
