Selected Brief Updates:
H2
by Adachi Mitsuru

Overview: Kunimi Hiro is an ace high school baseball player,
facing his friend Tachibana Hideo at a rival high school. Both boys
like Hikari....
Flashback to Issue 50: H2 ended in Issue 50. Senkawa beat Meiwa Ichi; Hiro
at last beat his friend Hideo. Senkawa's celebrations continue.
Meanwhile, a beaten Hideo stands in the sunset with Hikari, and admits
that he needs her, more than anyone else could need her. The next
morning, Hiro flies a paper airplane, "to the Big Leagues," but it
lands on the roof. Haruka says that she would be the stewardess (on
that airplane). "Probably," is Hiro's reply. The team piles onto the
bus; the paper airplane, caught by a breeze, drifts up into the clear,
wide blue sky.
INUYASHA
by Takahashi Rumiko

Overview: Kagome is a modern student teamed up with the
strange boy Inuyasha in 15th or 16th century Japan, seeking to
retrieve the fragments of the magical Shikon No Tama. They are
also trying to stay one step ahead of the evil Naraku.
This issue: Inuyasha and friends have just
fought off the wind-using girl called Kagura, who has the same
smell as Naraku. Kouga, the wolf-boy who was tricked into attacking
Inuyasha, is slowly being taken over by the poisonous fake Shikon
No Tama fragment in his arm. Just when it looks like amputation by
sword is necessary, Kagome uses one of her arrows to remove the
cursed fragment, and Kouga flees. Meanwhile, Kagura returns to
Naraku, angry that he hadn't told her about Inuyasha's abilities.
Naraku threatens to destroy her, a mere "part of" him. Elsewhere,
Inuyasha and friends discuss how Naraku could have created Kagura.
Is it a new power of his? Unbeknownst to them, Kagura's sister
Kanna is on the loose, and now Naraku has seen through Inuyasha's
sword....
JAJAUNA GROOMING UP!
by Yuki Masami

Overview: Although originally a city boy, young Kuze Shunpei
has taken to working as a farm hand at the Watarai racing horse
breeding farm; he also has taken to Watarai Hibiki, one of the
Watarai daughters.
This issue: Pregnant Hibiki is mostly just
lying around, not wanting to and not supposed to do much else. At
the Miho Training Center, the jockeys discuss the horses, and
Hibiki's brother Yuuki is training to enter the races again. Strike
Eagle, meanwhile, is still being unresponsive to his riders. Back at
the ranch, Shunpei is warned to keep clear of suspicions of
two-timing, and to also be a steady support to Hibiki. Shunpei and
Hibiki head off for Tokyo, partially to cheer on Yuuki. On the way,
Shunpei finally starts to notice certain changes in Hibiki's body,
and embarrassed Hibiki decks him for it.
MAJOR
by Mitsuda Takuya

Overview: Honda (Shigeno) Gorou, from his early years in
grade school, has been striving to become a professional baseball
player like his deceased father. Now, in Kaidou high school, he
is facing new challenges.
This issue: Our hero's team is still up against
the upperclassmen team. His and Satou's tactics have kept the
opponents' lead from growing. Gorou's pitching is keeping them from
scoring, but his team needs to score soon. New hitters are called
up. Gorou yells at Kokubu for making a comment that it's OK to have a 1-point loss against such an opponent.
But Kokubu, as he at last goes up to bat, shows that he's got
fighting spirit, and Gorou offers him some advice on his form.
Kokubu hits a home run, and now Gorou is coming up to
bat...
