RIAP Writes The Anime Conspiracy

...continued from previous page

I can see that I'm getting through to you. You don't think it's so strange anymore, do you? In an uncanny way, once you accept that anime is made by aliens, it explains a lot doesn't it? Yes, it does...
But don't just consider the evidence alone. Listen to my story: For I have been abducted by these aliens as well!
It was back in 1991... after AnimeCon'91 in San Jose, CA... I never told anyone before, but I was walking to my car parked in a large parking lot on a dark and lonely night. Just as I reached my car and extended my hand for the door handle, I was struck by a bolt of electricity. People later that night would tell me that I was struck by lightning (or that it was a severe case of static electricity), but what really happened was that I was teleported into an alien's UFO!
I didn't know where I was. All around me was an empty, circular room. The walls glowed with light. There was no window in this room. I was quickly becoming scared and panicky. After a short time, a hole opened up in the floor and two aliens emerged from the hole standing on a platform. Oh, they were horrible looking creatures! They only barely resembled humans! They had these large, saucer-shaped eyes, small mouths with no lips. One of aliens had spiky green hair. The other had spiky blue hair.
The one with spiky green hair spoke to me, while the one with spiky blue hair followed and observed. They spoke to me through telepathy and the green haired one asked me to follow him. A door opened up out of nowhere and I followed them to another room with a portal. From the portal, I could see the blue-green sphere of the earth below. This was how I knew I was inside a spacecraft hovering in space.
Then, the green-haired one said to me (using telepathy), "We will not harm you, earthling. We only wish to ask you a few questions about our work."
And I asked him, "What work?"
He replied, "You are an anime fan, are you not?"
  "Yes," I answered.
"Then you are a fan of our work, for we are the creators of what you earthlings call anime," he said.
I see that you are shocked. When I first heard it, I was shocked, too. But please let me continue.
I was about to ask a question, but the alien must have sensed my curiosity and said, "You may ask your questions later, but first answer ours."
And so began, what I can only call, a long, tortuous, interrogation of my anime preferences. They asked me things such as "Who was my favorite male/female anime character?" and "What was my favorite sub/dub anime release of this year?" and even "What was my favorite anime publication?" Etc, etc, etc. The questions were endless!
When the interrogation was over, the alien asked me, "Now, earthling, you may ask your questions of us."
So I asked the alien the first question on my mind, "But I thought that anime comes from Japan?"
The alien replied, "That is what we want you to think. Through our power of telepathy, we plant all the ideas for anime into the minds of humans, who then do our bidding. To help them get the work done, some of us have disguised ourselves as humans and are working among you."
