Followup to the previous review in EX 4.6:

Another installment in what is fast becoming a new favorite. Volume three in this series contains episodes seven and eight. A man's jealous rage results in a boomer attack. Meanwhile, Mackie continues to try and fit in, and Sylia displays more of her seemingly unstable personality. Meanwhile, a little more of the puzzle of Sylia's mission against Genom falls into place. Episode eight is about a rogue boomer car that needs to be stopped. Thankfully, though, there are enough other plot developments so that it doesn't just feel like a rehash of BUBBLEGUM CRISIS #4, "Revenge Road."
This series stands apart from the original in that it has a much more involved storyline and, while the episodes themselves are episodic, there is an underlying story that is explained a little at a time.
It's also nice to see some new combat in these two episodes, since they had rehashed the battle scenes from the first two episodes enough times. The animation is consistent, and is pretty good for a television series. However, some sequences, such as the concert sequences, are not nearly as effective as others.
For the dub, Nene is probably the best match to her personality, cute and bubbly. Priss has a nice edge in her voice, and sounds better than one would expect. In fact, only Mackie's voice really stands out as kind of out of place.
This series continues to get more interesting with each volume.
