Followup to the previous review in EX 4.7:

The ragatag crew of the Nadesico journeys to the Midori colony to pick up some new pilots. However, the result is disastrous. After some emergency repairs and some rather unnerving situations, the new pilots arrive.. Meanwhile, Akito grives for the loss of his friend, and loses himself in a GEKIGANGER marathon in tribute to his fallen friend. And Yurika is dealing with the problems of being a captain when it's nothing more than a figurehead. But soon the Nadesico falls under attack and everyone must scramble into action.
The animation continues to be of excellent quality, and covers the transitions from action and fighting scenes to lighter moments and slapstick with no difficulty. In fact, that seems to be one of the keys to this show: that it moves from serious to zany without missing a beat.
The dubbed voices for this show seem to be a little more stilted and forced than in some of the other ADV dubs. Many of the female voices are on the shrill side. Of course, that's part of the characters, especially for Megumi and Hikaru, and even, to a certain extent, Yurika. In fact, the addition of these new pilots adds a new decibel and annoyance level to the already tense environment.
However, don't let the less than perfect dub bother you. There's always a subtitled version. NADESICO is too good of a show to miss.
