ZOMBIE POWDER

Overview: In this world, there is a powder called the Zombie Powder that brings the dead back to life and gives the living eternal life. The long journey for Elwood the pickpocket begins when he meets Akutabi Gamma, a Powder Hunter in search of the 12 Rings of the Dead to acquire the Zombie Powder. Gamma successfully gets the first ring, but discovers that the second ring has eaten the soul of Emilio, Wolfina's brother. Gamma and the crew successfully stop Barmunk and his weird troupe from kidnapping Emilio...
  This Issue—track 24. But still livin' under the Sky. - The enemies retreated, and both Gamma and Elwood went in and out of the hospital. The day of Wolfina's release from the hospital came, and she thanked Dr.Roscoe for everything he had done for the two years since she first got Emelio under his care. While the doctor reminisces about his late wife and daughter as he watches Wolfina leave, the girl is greeted by Elwood and a bouquet, followed by the entire police force of the town. Smith, smiling, knocks out the entire force (other than the captain) while Gamma rips off the roof of one of the police cars. The group climbs in, and drives off—after Wolfina assures the police captain that he can protect the townsfolk without her help.


HIKARU NO GO

Overview: Hikaru was a normal elementary school student until the spirit of Sai, an ancient master of go, became trapped in his body. At first, Hikaru knew nothing of the game of go, but with Sai's proddings and teaching him the basics, his own ability starts to blossom. Hikaru, upon hearing that Akira has turned into a professional go player, applied and was accepted to the academy for aspiring professionals. However, he is struggling to beat the other kids. Furthermore, in order to play Akira again, he must improve his status within the academy...
  This Issue—53rd bout. Something on Mind - Hikaru keeps losing his matches against fellow academy members, and he feels pressured to win again. However, despite everything he does, he keeps losing by a narrow margin and falls dead last by the end of February. Hikaru wonders why he is doing so poorly, especially because he plays a few rounds with Sai every day. Sai surprises the disgruntled young boy with a comment—Hikaru is doing so poorly because he is playing against the spirit every day.


SHAMAN KING

Overview: Asakura Yoh is a shaman who wishes to become the best of the shamans—the Shaman King. Supported by his friend Manta and his fiancée Anna, Yoh and his spirit-friend Amidamaru won the preliminary matches for the Shaman Fight in Tokyo, the tournament which will decide who the King will be. During the month break between the prelims and the actual tournament, Yoh's rival Ren decides to settle everything between himself and his father, but gets caught. Yoh heads to China with Ryu and Horohoro to save his fellow shaman friend; yet Ren's father proves to be more than a handful...
  This Issue—74th Reincarnation: How is En Tao Immortal? - Yoh, Ryu, Horohoro, and the two Tao siblings (along with Manta) head upstairs to where En waits, but they allow En to attack first. Ryu and Horohoro attack En's two arms, however the arms both regenerate in a matter of seconds and knock the two shamans down. Jun attacks with Pai-long, and that also fails. Ren slashes off En's head, yet En still lives and manages to slam both Pai-long and Yoh into the walls. En claims that Ren is now weak because he has lost his "way" and relies on friends. Ren replies that his weakness was why he was fighting his father...and the other shamans stand up to aid Ren.


HUNTER x HUNTER

Overview: Gon is a boy who dreamed of becoming a Hunter just like his father Ging. Now that he and his friends Clapika and Reolio passed the Hunter Qualifications Examination and became Hunters, they went their separate ways in search of the answers to the questions that led them to become Hunters. Time passes, and the boys reunite with Reolio at the auction in Yorkshin; but Clapika is on duty as one of the bodyguards for Neon, a girl with fortune-telling Nen powers...
  This Issue—No.073. September 1st (part 2) - Neon finally went to sleep after making a huge fuss about going to the auction. Meanwhile, on guard atop a distant building, Clapika shares the reason why he (she?) became a Hunter with the other bodyguard on duty at the roof. Meanwhile, inside the auction house, the members of the thieving ring (incidentally, this is the ring that Clapika is after and the group that Hisoka belongs to) attack all the auctioneers and loots them all.
