PSYCHOMETRER EIJI

Overview: Asuma Eiji and his ability to see the past through
physical contact with objects helps to solve crimes that stump the police.
This Issue: Shima finds out that the one guy from all
her arranged dates she liked is getting married, and she decides to go
on a drinking binge. Tohru, as the bartender, wonders what is wrong
with Shima; she asks him if he wanted to spend the night with her. He
laughs her off, saying Eiji would never forgive him. Since she passed
out at the restaurant, Tohru hails a cab and escorts her back to her
apartment and gets vomited on. He decides to make some food for her
while he waits for the shirt he just washed to dry. Shima is surprised
by the food on the table when she wakes up the next morning. As for
Tohru, when Eiji patted him on the shoulder, our hero saw visions that
assert something physical went on between Tohru and Shima, so Tohru
gets beaten up by Eiji for no particular reason.

KINDAICHI SHOUNEN NO JIKENBO

Overview: Kindaichi Hajime, the grandson of the late mega-sleuth
Kindaichi Kousuke, solves murders that happen all around him.
This Issue: The revelation of part 2, case 5 ("The
Russian Doll Murders") continues this week. Hajime muses that the
apparent closed-door murder was actually wide-open despite the fact
that the master key was locked into the key ring. Everyone looks
confused, but Hajime continues that the master key can be easily
removed from the key ring, and he shows the crowd that using the
unique shape of the key ring, someone can easily insert and remove
keys while making it seem improbable. Kirie admits that she was the
murdererand she killed to regain what she had lost. She starts
to explain that the tricks that were used in Yamanouchi's mystery
novels all came from her father, and how she had lost everything
after her father's death while Yamanouchi built up his fortune using
her father's ideas.

CHAMELEON

Overview: Yazawa Eisaku leads an unpredictable life...but who
would have predicted that he could be a sheer genius if he had the
right motivation?
This Issue: Eisaku now stands in the elitethe
crowd that is taking the entrance for the prestigious Tokyo University.
While some criticize Eisaku based on appearance (and luck, perhaps?),
there are more friends that support him and his goal. At the test,
Eisaku feels defeat; but he then thinks of a devious plan to cheat:
pull the fire alarm, and sneak peeks at other people's exam sheets
while they evacuate! But Eisaku's plan is foiled by Bitou, who didn't
evacuate with the others...

NAKUYO UGUISU
by Kita Yasuaki

Overview: A strange baseball story with strange characters and
weird cultural in-jokes by the author of JUMP's
cult hit MAKUHARI.
This Issue: Amaken collapses from a concussion, and
Uguisu becomes the catcher. Soga is the batter. Kentarou ("Proken")
is reminded of the hardships he faced when he was teammates with Soga
(and how he was not allowed to pitch for the team once because Soga
pitched every game). The irritation further mounts as Soga tells Uguisu
to go tell Kentarou to pitch with more velocity. The second pitch is hit
foul and crashes into the net, but it puts a dent in Soga's bat.
Kentarou swears to win the game as seek revenge for when Soga told him
to quit baseball altogether.

RAVE

Overview: Hal and the gang are on the search for the four
missing Raves. They find the location of one, but their enemies, the
Demon Cards, have already entered the area...
This Issue: Hal's group proceeds deeper into the
cave, unaware that an assassin has been sent after them by Shuda. Deep
inside the cave, Ellie, Plue and Glif fall prey to sleep-pollen. Hal
tries to get rid of the pollen, but his attack only increases the
pollen concentration. Then, a mysterious figure burns away all the
flowers. When the group comes to, the figure introduces himself as
Dr. Schneider, and that the pollen is slightly poisonous so the group
should get vaccinations against the poison. The doctor explains that he
came into the cave in search of natural (poison-free) sleep-pollen, but
got locked inside the cave three days ago. Much to Hal's delight, the
doctor offers to be their guide through the caves, but the assassin is
already drawing nearin fact, within eyesight of Hal.
