This is where EX shares some of its mail with
the rest of its readers so that you, the fans, know what other fans
are thinking.
We love to get mail from our readers. However, please
remember that EX is not a store and we do not
sell the merchandise we review. Check your local comic and hobby shops
(and other places that carry anime items) if you're interested in
purchasing any of these products. And, if all else fails, you can try
some of the stores
available online. But please don't ask us to sell
things to you. (The mark up would be terrible.)
And to address another frequent request: no, we don't give out codes
and cheats to games. However, we link the game reviews to corresponding
FAQ pages at GameFaqs
whenever possible. We hope this helps.
Thanks again, and keep those letters coming!

Voice Actors and Roles...
From: Andrea Doolan

In the WEISS KREUZ article by Maria M. Rider, she
said Miki Shinichirou played Kamui in the X movie. Actually, it was
Seki Tomokazu (Ken) who played Kamui. Miki-san did, however, play Allen
Schezar in ESCAFLOWNE and many other roles.
I love EX, I just wish you had more
shoujo content.
You're right, of course. And we're working on the
Shoujo thing...
ENDLESS...Wait?
From: Jin-Ho Chung

You mentioned that GUNDAM WING: ENDLESS WALTZ will
be coming to U.S. TV. Do you know when that will
happen, and on what network? The Cartoon Network just finished broadcasting
the first 48 episodes of Gundam Wing, and now they
are beginning all over again with episode 1. Thanks.
From: Marianne

I was slightly confused. WHAT is
ENDLESS WALTZ? Is it a follow up to
GUNDAM WING? Do we FINALLY get
to find out what happened to the characters next? (The latter mostly refers
to Relena and Heero; I was slightly upset that they never kissed during the
whole of GUNDAM WING.) And if it IS
a follow up, what channel and what time will it be on? Cartoon Network? (Please
be Cartoon Network!)
Sincerely,
Confused
We've been getting a lot of e-mail about this.
Yes, ENDLESS WALTZ will be coming to
U.S. television. And yes, it will be on the Cartoon
Network. We just don't know when. Cartoon Network is currently trying to decide
when and how to show this part of GUNDAM WING on television.
ENDLESS WALTZ is the three-part
OVA series released after the end of the
GUNDAM WING television series. It ties up some of the
loose ends of the series, and also provides more insight into the character's
pasts.
From: Conor Mann

I've been reading EX for about a year now and I love it!
I saw Scott Frazier at Anime Central last year and thought he was cool and very
open with information.
I've been trying to find out how many videos of
GUNDAM WING will be released. As far as I can tell, there
are going to be 3 available by 7/18,
but I'm pretty sure there are more. How many tapes total for
GUNDAM WING? You knew that ENDLESS WALTZ
was 3 tapes, so I figured you'd have an idea for
GUNDAM W.
It's gonna be a lot. Since the series is
49 episodes long, and each volume (except Volume
1) will contain three episodes, it's going to be about
16 volumes! DVD fans will have it a
little easier, since there will be five episodes per DVD,
making a total of ten DVD volumes.
And note that the Japanese release of ENDLESS WALTZ
was three volumes; the release of the American version is still to be determined.
NADESICO 2?
From: Dan Callan

First off I'd like to say that your site's one of my favorites, and to keep on
truckin'. Anyhow, I've just finished up watching NADESICO
(movie and everything). I was wondering if and when a new series is coming out,
because the movie left it wide open, and it's pretty tough to find any news. I also
saw some scenes from the DC game that look like they could
be from some kind of new series. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Well, I don't think there will be a sequel anytime soon,
since the folks who worked on it, XEBEC, have moved on and
are busy working on about four other projects right now. However, you can never
rule out the possibility of a sequel to a series as popular as
NADESICO...
Zip Fix?
From: Massimo Fiorentino

Hi there! Thanks for a splendid online anime magazine!! (^_-)
I have a small plea for help, or rather a curious observation I want
to share with you.
I often download your e-zine, but I run into problems with some of your
file names that are too long (for a Macintosh computer that is)... My poor Mac
can only read max 32 characters in a file's name...so I
have to update several HTML-documents before I can enjoy
your e-zine in full...
Just wanted to pass it on to you, just so you know it. I know that
it will be too much to demand that you restructure your workflow just for that,
but you would do the non-PC and non-HTML
folks out there a great favour to just give it a small note on your download page..?
Thanks for your time and keep up the good work! :)
That's an interesting point. We'll try to keep that in mind
as we work on future issues. Thanks for bringing it to our attention...
DVD of LODOSS WAR
From: Joseph D. Hebert

Let me start by stating that I love the site. It is so hard to get news
on Anime products here in Alaska, so this website has been an invaluable resource.
I have been a fan of RECORD OF LODOSS WAR ever
since my friend brought over the first tape and made me watch it. I was instantly
hooked so I went to Blockbuster and pirated every episode. Until I bought the
DVD. I even tried to find the novels until I read
somewhere that they haven't been translated into English.
Naturally, when I heard a new series was coming out I was ecstatic.
Until I found out that none of the video rental stores carried it and it was
only available in video. I still haven't seen the new series yet because I
refuse to pay for every tape when they could just release it on
DVD. So my question to you is: Do you know of any
plans to release CHRONICLES OF THE HEROIC KNIGHT on
DVD anytime soon?
If CPM follows its current
DVD release pattern, look for a DVD
release of HEROIC KNIGHT sometime in the future. I'm sure
that they want to put this out on DVD almost as much as
you want it.
Phantom PRINCESS
From: Tina

Any word on the video release of PRINCESS MONONOKE????
In a word, no. The fall release that was announced
earlier has since been rescinded and no new information has surfaced,
unfortunately.
Is That Your Real Name?
From: Bobby Generic

I know that ex.org is a website about anime, but I was just wondering
how animation from other countries (especially American animated
TV shows or movies) do in Japan? Being a
RUGRATS fan myself, I've researched it and I heard
that THE RUGRATS MOVIE almost took a year to release
there in Japan. I was just wondering if American animation is either doing
good or bad in Japan and how come it takes too long to release it there?
Well, it's a matter of the market. After all,
RUGRATS wasn't on TV in Japan,
so would a movie based on a TV show that's not really
known there do well if most people didn't know what it was? It would be like
someone suddenly bringing a DORAEMON movie to the
U.S. before the T.V. show comes
out here.
Plus, Japan already has so much animation, that it doesn't always
need to import more. After all, they have one of the largest anime industries
in the world...
Aspiring Amano
From: Jack Dudley

I am a young aspiring artist who adores the works of Yoshitaka Amano. I
wanted to contact him and see what he recommends in terms of technical
training etc in order to pursue a career in this vein of work. I would
really appreciate his contact information, and if that is not possible the
URL for his personal web page. I appreciate your time.
We don't give out personal contact information for the
people we interview (if we even have it). However, you can reach Mr. Amano
through his website
www.amanosworld.com.
DVD or DVDon't?
From: Andrew Lai

Just wanted to know whether Manga Entertainment DVDs
like PERFECT BLUE were region coded. Thank you.
Yes, the Manga Entertainment DVDs
are region coded. Besides, American television is NTSC
and European television is PAL, and the two formats
are incompatible....
WING Words
From: Ellen

I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed your article on GUNDAM
WING. As a new fan I'm very impressed with the series, and the article
helped clarify a few things. Thanks for some excellent writing.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The person who did that
article put in a lot of time and effort to make it what it was, and I really
think it shows. We're trying our best to keep turning out interesting and
informative feature articles.
