INUYASHA
by Takahashi Rumiko

Overview: Kagome is a modern day student teamed up with the strange
boy Inuyasha in 15th or 16th
century Japan, seeking to retrieve the fragments of the magical Shikon No
Tama, and trying to stay one step ahead of the evil Naraku.
This Issue: With Inuyasha having declared his intention to
protect Kikyou from Naraku's evil love, Kagome feels dumped and has returned
to the present day. Her friends find her faked mask of cheer frightening.
Back in the past, the others are telling Inuyasha to at least go to Kagome and
ask for the sliver of the Shikon No Tama that she took with her. Kaede points
out that Kikyou is actually dead, but Inuyasha replies that he will go with
her to Hell, if it's their destiny. Back in the modern day, Kagome is
considering going back to return the sliver, and is suddenly struck by the
ugly thought that, if only Kikyou were to go away... Repulsed by her own
selfishness, she nonetheless searches her feelings and discovers she wants to
meet Inuyasha again; she realizes just how much she had come to like him.

JAJAUMA GROOMING UP!
by Yuki Masami

Overview: Although originally a city boy, young Kuze Shunpei has taken to
working as a farm hand at the Watarai racing horse breeding farm; he also has
taken to Watarai Hibiki, one of the Watarai daughters. The two marry...
This Issue: Satoru's car accident brought Abumi running to the
hospital. Her would-be suitor, meanwhile, is not at all pleased that she went
missing the very day he'd arranged for the matchmaker. He confronts her at the
hospital and gives her a lecture, and he clearly thinks it inappropriate that she
screwed up his plans just to see a guy who merely broke his leg. Abumi counters
that he never asked for her opinions. She suggests he wants a submissive wife
who does his bidding; he replies he can make that wife happy. She asks him if
it requires him to make her happy, and so on. The upshot is that Abumi dumps him.
