BASTARD!! (* in #36/37 double issue, not #44)
by Hagiwara Kazushi
Started in #14, 1988, ended weekly run in #36, 1989, restarted quarterly run in Winter 1990,
ended quarterly run in Summer 1996, resurfaced with a one-shot in #5/6, 1997, started
periodical release with current arc in #37/8, 1997; last seen in #41, 1999 (21 volumes
available)

Overview: What started out as a "save the world from the evil destructive god" has
turned into an Armageddon, with the devils ruled by Satan fighting the angels from heaven.
The devil Konron faces the angel Uriel; Konron had absorbed Uriel's sister Amrael to nullify
all of the Angels' attacks. Uriel, to have a chance against Konron, slays Amrael away from
the deviland fails (because Uriel slew a dummy). Uriel could not deal with the emotional
pain and starts to Fall Down from an angel into a devil. Just then, our arrogant hero Dark Schneider
rises from flames, and promptly beats the stuffing out of Konron.
This IssueLaw of Immorality 20 - Beelzebub explains to Lilith why
humans play a key role in the Armageddon between angels and devils: each and every human has
a piece of the Creator, and the flow of energy from them (positive or negative) is what
determines which side is more powerful. The devil lords further explain to Lilith that
when Adam of Light is born and leads the people, Heaven will come down to Eden (Earth) and
make a paradise out of it again (with Beimon quoting Revelation 21:3-4,
complete with smoke coming out of her body in pain). However, the devils are allowed to send
an Adam of Shadow when the Adam of Light appearsand no angel (only humans) can destroy
the Adam of Shadow (aka the Anti-Christ). Konron (though thoroughly battered now) laughs
that Uriel's Falling Down cannot be reversed; Dark Schneider's reply is to eat Konron alive
(Amrael and all). Just then, Uriel's Falling Down is completedand Uriel promptly enters
a slugfest against Dark Schneider.
As for what follows this episode... the next installment is switching
