mindless fighting-machine self has enabled him to heft his sword with new ease. He finds the "Kaze no
Kizu" (the wind wound) and slashes the dragon, but the dragon appears impervious. After all, even
Inuyasha's father had been unable to vanquish it. But Inuyasha refuses to flee; he wants to surpass

MAJOR
by Mitsuda Takuya

Overview: Honda (Shigeno) Gorou, from his early years in grade school, has been striving to become a
professional baseball player like his deceased father. Now, freshly transferred out of Kaidou high school,
he is facing new challenges.
This Issue: Fujii and Gorou are in a match, where each pitches and the other tries to hit
the ball ten times per side. If Gorou wins, Fujii has agreed to join the non-existent baseball team. Fujii
has gotten some coaching from Shimizu, but even that's not enough. There's no question that Fujii is no match
for Gorou. With Shimizu's urging, Gorou treats Fujii to the full match, and Fujii manages to hit the ball the
tenth time. Shimizu encourages Fujii to join the embryonic baseball team, and he later suggests to Gorou that
he went easy on Fujii at the end. Gorou neither confirms nor denies the suggestion.
