The Fifth Year Anniversary -- Introduction
On June 28-30, 1996, ANIME EXPO '96 was held at the Anaheim Marriott and Anaheim Convention Center. This was the fifth year of ANIME EXPO, so many special events were planned.
A record
number of Japanese Guests of Honor were present, and various special
events took place, including the North American premiere of the
TENCHI
MUYO Movie (reviewed in issue 1),
the Fifth Anniversary Party, panels and autograph sessions
by the distinguished Guests of Honor, and of course, the unstoppable
juggernaut that is the Masquerade.There is
something for everyone in our ANIME
EXPO coverage. If you were there, read, enjoy,
and reminisce. If not, you can get a good idea of what the convention
