Ruroni Kenshin To Make Trans-Pacific Journey
KENSHIN has finally been licensed! But maybe not by who you think. The KENSHIN pie has been split three ways. AD Vision has the OVAs and movies, and Media Blasters has acquired the television series rights. Sony, the original rightsholder, has said that it will try to find a home for KENSHIN on American telelvision.
: Speaking for Media Blasters, Clark Cheng said, "It's great to have yet another strong title under our belt and John (Sirabella) likens it to a coming of age." Cheng also stated that they will work closely with AD Vison to ensure that KENSHIN will be consistent between their company's releases. He also speculated that the television series would be redubbed. "As you can imagine, we'll be very busy working on releasing it next year."
