Introduction

Every year since its inception, the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation has sponsored the SPJA Industry Awards. Winners of the awards are determined by balloting conducted at Anime Expo.

All anime fans who have access to the world wide web are eligible to participate in the preliminary balloting, regardless of whether they are attending Anime Expo 2001.

EX is hosting the initial balloting; the results of the preliminary voting will be tabulated and the five finalists in each category will appear on the ballot at Anime Expo.

Note: Preliminary voting only determines the five finalists that will appear on the ballot at Anime Expo. Winners in each category will be determined solely by voting conducted at AnimeExpo.
